ComedySportz to hold school supply drive

ComedySportz in Memorial will hold a school supplies drive this August to benefit DePelchin Children’s Center in the Heights.

People who make a reservation for the ComedySportz matches on Aug. 19 or Aug. 20 and commit to bring school supplies will receive $2 off each full-price ticket for every school supply they donate. The discount cannot be combined with any other offers or coupons.

ComedySportz will donate the supplies to DePelchin Children’s Center, the largest provider of children’s social and mental health services in the Houston area.

The top 10 suggestions for donations are ballpoint pens, binders, watercolor paints and brushes, boxes of tissues, calculators, combination locks, compasses, composition and journal books, crayons and easers.

Show times are at 8 p.m. on Friday and 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at the ComedySportz Arena, 901 Town & Country Blvd.

Regular admission is $16 and no minimum drink purchase is required. Group and student discounts are also available.
